With regards to your comment about the visibility-or lack of- of disabled dancers, I hope that Candoco contribute to draw attention to both visible and not so visible disabilities and this is something we are always keen to keep debating.
There is currently a mix of 3 disabled and 4 non-disabled dancers in the company, and all, including the disabled dancers have trained in dance. This is Candoco’s particular interest and ambition, to push for access to training for disabled dancers and to create professional opportunities for all in dance. As well as professional opportunities we also do a lot of education and out-reach work, and hope to put more of this footage up on our website soon.
Yes, I have to echo Emma’s reaction/question. also I am very interested in the concept of disabled and non-disabled performing together. I would like to see examples of how you do this. but in the videos (i watched 4 of them) i saw 95% non-disabled, highly trained in fact, bodies. did i miss something perhaps?
thanks, and, with regards, robert

Hope that helps and keep your eyes peeled for more videos on our website.
