Candoco are looking to increase their pool of Associate Artists. If you are a disabled or non-disabled dance artist or practitioner committed to the development of a more diverse, inclusive and innovative dance sector, this might be the opportunity for you.
On Tuesday 14 September the Learning & Development team at Candoco will be meeting new artists to explore core Candoco exercises at the Southbank Centre.
The session will run from 10am-3pm. Beginning with core Candoco exercises, followed by creative task, pedagogical discussion and questions and answers.
It’s an opportunity for you to meet us and us to get to know you. We have 20 spaces available for the day and we are hoping to find some new artists to work with regularly on a freelance basis as part of our Learning & Development programme.
If you’re interested in coming please email louise@candoco.co.uk for a space and more information.
Hello,
Thanks for emailing. We can add you to our mailing list that will let you know what is going on, you can check out our Learning and Development section of our website to see what educational programs and projects we offer. If you go to the ‘youth’ section you can watch our new youth company promo video, and we have just filmed a new version of ‘And Who Shall Go To The Ball’, choreographed by Rafael Bonachela which will hopefully get onto the syllabus for GCSE dance. Keep checking the website for updates! Do you have website?
Thanks,
Louise
Learning and Development Coordinator
We are a Nairobi Kenya based new dance company working with disabled people..(Dance Into Space and Mix Ability company). We would like to associate with Candoco and probably benefit through exchanges and sharing of educational/audio visual materials for our library here in Nairobi which helps very many young and new dancers…. what advice can you offer ? thanks
