Looking Back by choreographer Rachid Ouramdane and composer Jean-Baptiste Julien is the last piece of our triple bill to enter production phase. Today we saw the subtle and evocative lighting design of Candoco’s long time collaborator Chahine Yavroyan come to life. Early this week performers started to inhabit the elegant costumes designed by Rachid’s long time collaborator, La Bourette. The set is finally starting to behave, even though it will always maintain an element of unpredictability. The technical team has been outstanding and the dancers continue to amaze me, growing stronger with every run. This is a moving piece, beautifully designed as you can see in the photos attached. And I am a very happy Artistic Director indeed…
