Crutches, crutches, crutches.
Hmmmm.
What are your crutches? I’m guessing they are many and varied, or at least mine are, so won’t get into detail there….
Post-BDE busy-ness, and back in the studio with Claire Cunningham this week, learning and devising material about crutches both literal and metaphorical. Dancing neck to neck, kissing and slapping, learning “Cunningham technique,” assembling rifles, publicly displaying affection (if you can call it that), leading some talented young bucks ’round to be hawked at the market, recording interviews with the doctor (wait, is my crutch even a crutch?), getting measured for a shiny catsuit, creating some rather flashy subtitles, and even some bits of dancing thrown in there. Who knows what will end up in the mix, but thoroughly enjoying being amidst the mix of thoroughly lovely extended cast and extensive ideas. In the end, whatever it is will undoubtedly be a delicious crutch-y cocktail available in several SIZES! Glorious.
Claire’s piece will be performed at Laban Theatre in London on the 29th of February.
