Candoco’s U.Dance project culminates this Saturday with performance featuring our work with excellent young dancers from across the UK.
Choreographed by Candoco Victoria Fox and Welly O’Brien in collaboration with fellow Candoco artists Bettina Carpi and Sarah Blanc a special new work has been created together with the young people, which will challenge, excite and profile the talented dancers.
With music by Balanescu Quartet the piece explores the definitions of ‘moved’ or ‘moving’ in the following ways:
1. to pass from one place or position to another
2. to go from one place of residence to another
3. to advance or progress
4. to start off or leave
5. to discharge or evacuate
6. to change from one place or position to another
7. to affect with tender or compassionate emotion; touch
The work will give audiences at the Royal Festival Hall this Saturday an unprecedented opportunity to experience the work of our integrated youth dance company as well as groups from Leeds and Wales, who have worked with our artists, of disabled and non-disabled dancers.
The performance will take place Saturday 14 July at 7pm in the Royal Festival Hall. For more information and to book your ticket click here
