Schools & Colleges

Rafael Bonachela’s work, And Who Shall Go To The Ball?, commissioned by Candoco Dance Company in 2007, will be available to study in schools and colleges from May 2011 as one of the prescribed works on the Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA) GCSE Dance specification. It is the only resource of this type from a company of disabled and non-disabled dancers and is therefore of value to all dance teachers and students, whether in Key Stage 3 or higher education.

In 2010, And Who Shall Go To The Ball? was reconstructed by the company and specially re-filmed in Candoco’s dance studio for a Resource for Schools and Colleges. The resource enables teachers and students to access all sections of the work close up, provides four specific sections for students to learn and includes shots of the set.

‘Better than other packs I have used as it is more detailed. The influence and the ethos of the company is very sound and good for the students.’ Teacher, King Edmund school.
