Support Us

Supporting Candoco Dance Company’s work is a chance to make a difference.

There is plenty of research showing that disabled people are often excluded from participating in everyday life, particularly activities such as leisure facilities and the arts. So we know that there is significant unmet demand for arts activities for disabled people. Supporting Candoco is an opportunity to meet this demand, to improve and enhance the lives of disabled people and to raise the profile of disability.

We hope that you find what you are looking for in these pages, but if you don’t, please contact our Executive Director, Jo Towler, to chat more.

There are a number of ways in which you can support our work:

  • tell us what you think on Twitter @candocodance or Facebook
  • sign up to our Mailing List for information about future performances, opportunities and insights
  • buy a ticket for our next show, encourage others to do the same – Details of upcoming shows are on our Events Page
  • support us financially – our work is made possible with funding from Arts Council England, but this is only part of the picture, and we are reliant on the generous giving of others.

Candoco Dance Company is a registered charity and company in England and Wales

The enormous generosity of our supporters enables us to

  • make and perform the work you see on stage
  • offer training and development to artists and
  • provide a comprehensive learning programme to give every young person the opportunity to participate in dance.

There are a variety of levels at which you can support us

  • £50 will support one young person to attend our weekly classes for a term, £150 for a year
  • £250 will support us to deliver a week of workshops for our youth companies
  • £500 will support one week’s salary for one dancer
  • £1,000 will support mentoring for a disabled young person for a year
  • £3,000 will support a week’s residency for 20 disabled and non-disabled young people
  • £20,000 will support the salary of one disabled dancer for one year
  • £90,000 will support the next production of work with disabled and non-disabled dancers

Any donation will make a difference. Regular donations will enable us to continue to create the high quality work seen on stage and to continue to work with over 7,000 people each year.
