Candoco Dance Company ‘Unlimited Commissions’ – an evening of bold new dance featuring 12 disabled and non-disabled performers from the previous, current and future Olympic Nations: China, UK and Brazil.
‘Parallel Lines’ – choreographer Marc Brew’s stylish work draws lines across the globe, connecting Olympic host cities. The emotive string score by Michael Galasso drives the piece forward creating dramatic tension between the performers in their exploration of physical limitations.
With ‘12’ Claire Cunningham invites us into a wonderous, imaginative world -a theatrical piece that plays with life’s crutches. What holds us up? What supports us? When do they tip over from something you love to something darker? The result is a riotous piece full of childlike beauty and surreal humour.
