Fashioning Inclusion - Inclusive Design & Performance Event

Fashioning Inclusion event at London College of Fashion brings together a diverse group of researchers and practitioners who show that bodies of all abilities and types can be a site for creative self-expression.

The challenges of creating with and for different abilities offer new opportunities for experimentation with materials, technologies and aesthetics which can pioneer true innovation for art, performance, fashion and worn objects. Candoco's Learning Producer, Ellie Douglas-Allan, and Candoco dancer, Joel Brown, will discuss the company's approach to creating inclusive performances alongside a talk about Frida Kahlo's iconic personal style by curators Claire Wilcox and Circe Henestrosa, presentations of inclusive design and material development by LCF students and Alumni, and more.

Fashioning Inclusion event is an invitation to challenge pre-conceptions and explore how can fashion, performance and bodily expression be further opened to be accessible to all.
