You and I Know at Liberty Festival

Photography by Camilla Greenwell, 2016

This November, we will be presenting You and I Know by Arlene Phillips at Liberty Festival. Fast-becoming a Candoco classic, You and I Know is a romantic duet told through a series of vignettes set across time.

Danced with passion and sensitivity to a collection of pop songs, Joel and Laura offer audiences a potent and emotive exploration of how we fall in and out of love over and over again, often with the same person.

You and I Know throws out the rule book and inspire audiences around who can dance and what dance can be.

This piece is co-commissioned by Without Walls, Greenwich+Docklands International Festival, Stockton International Riverside Festival and Ageas Salisbury International Arts Festival.

Part of Liberty – The Mayor of London’s free festival celebrating the work of deaf and disabled artists, presented in partnership with Waltham Forest London Borough of Culture 2019.
